Краткое описание

This study presents a numerical analysis, for the first time, to investigate the effect of using nanofluid on the thermal performance of a single phase natural circulation loop. An experimental study which consists of a mini loop working with Al2O3 − distilled water nanofluid from the existing literature was selected for the comparison of the numerical results. The results show that, improved numerical model can predict the reaction of the mini loop to filler content and heater power sufficiently. The deviation from the experimental results increases as the heater power and filler content increases. However, it is still useful for the thermal performance comparison studies.
