Аннотация

The Rayleigh-Taylor instability in the inviscid and viscous cases is investigated based on numerical simulations of the Euler and Navier-Stokes equations. It is shown that as the hydrodynamic instabilities develop they form vortex cascades. Our study demonstrates that emerging flows and their characteristics are identical for both models.
