COMBINED HEAT EXCHANGE INTENSIFICATION TECHNIQUES AS A KEY TO DEVELOPMENT OF COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGERS FOR POWER GAS TURBINE UNITS
Краткое описание
Heat exchange intensification (HI) is a basic technique to increase the efficiency of heat exchangers and cooling systems for heat engine applications. Through combination of IH techniques, it is possible to achieve higher convective heat exchange effectiveness compared to using each technique separately. The paper presents concrete illustrations of embodiment of combined HI techniques for gas turbine engines : gas air cooler, air preheater, heat recovery boilers (wire and tape turbolators), coil pipe type and flat oil coolers and fuel preheaters, etc. The like design approaches allow achieving not only a nearly twice heat exchange intensity increase at the same hydraulic loss, but, also, a notable improvement of the metal consumption rate values, masssize characteristics, and maintainability.
