Краткое описание
A Rayleigh scattering probe for the space and time resolved measurement of the fractional gas concentration values in a binary gas mixture is presented, which is based on photon correlation signal processing techniques. Applying it to clean gas flows, statistical quantities of the flowfield, e.g. coherence structures in multiple jets, can be obtained even for low light levels allowing also the utilization of milliwatt cw lasers. This is shown for a selected sample point within the mixing region of a two-dimensional CO2 jet issuing into two adjacent coflowing N2 jets.
