Frequency -and-Angular Sounding of the Ionosphere
摘要
A method for ionospheric sounding in the frequency and angular domain is suggested. The method involves frequency dependent angles of arrival of probe signals measured for oblique radio paths as the primary data. The potential of the technique in recovering the ionospheric electron density profile is analyzed numerically. Results of sounding the ionospheric plasma in the technique suggested are presented.
