摘要
The approaches and methods of the use of phytoplankton and phytobenthos in assessing the ecological state of water bodies according to the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) are given in the paper. The problem of the use of phytoplankton and microphytobenthos in characterizing the ecological state of large rivers on the example of the Ukrainian section of the Danube River is considered. The influence of anthropic eutrophication on the ecological state of water bodies was assessed.
