Heat and Mass Transfer in Treatment Processes
pages 509-525
摘要
Metallic alloys Heat Treatment principle is to obtain particular microstructure providing properties needed for the working conditions. The proceeds used for this propose in solve heat and mass transfer processes in the solid and between the solid and its environment. Inventorying the different stages of these treatments shows that quenching is the most critical one. Indeed successful quenching needs the control of high heat fluxes at high temperatures. Furthermore it determines the final properties of the quenched product. So this stage of the treatment will be considered with a particular attention.
