Steady-State and Time-Harmonic Response in Micropolar Porous Thermoelastic Medium with Two Relaxation Times
ABSTRAKT
The steady-state response of a load moving with constant velocity along the x-axis in a micropolar porous generalized thermoelastic medium has been investigated on the plane surface. The generalized thermoelasticity developed by Green and Lindsay (1972) has been used to solve the problem. The expressions of displacement components, force stress, couple stress, change in volume fraction field, and temperature distribution are obtained in the transformed domain after applying the Fourier transform. The numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the resulting expressions in the physical domain. As a special case the deformation caused in the medium due to a source varying harmonically with time has been deduced from the present problem by changing some parameters. The numerical results are presented graphically. Some particular cases have also been derived.
