HIGH-TEMPERATURE CARBON DIOXIDE FLOW OVER A LONGITUDINAL CYLINDER

ABSTRAKT
High-temperature hypersonic carbon dioxide (CO2) flow over a cylinder is studied experimentally. The tests are performed in the hot-shot wind tunnel IT-2M at Mach number M∞ ~ 12 and total enthalpy below Ht = 4.5 MJ/kg. The pressure and heat flux distributions along the cylinder surface are determined. Bow shock wave stand-off is visualized. The flow properties are tested using sensor rakes.
