ON PHASE TRANSFORMATION FRONT PROPAGATION IN ELASTIC BODIES
ABSTRAKT
The connected problem of solidification or melting front propagation in non-linear thermoelastic bodies is considered. The relations on the moving phase boundary have been obtained with assumptions of thermoquasistatics and on the basis of general conservation laws for mass, impulse, energy in their integral form and with regard to the second thermodynamics law in the form Clausius-Duhem inequality. The impurity diffusion is also considered. The infinitesimal stability problem for two-phase bodies is discussed. As examples the solidification or melting of elastic halfspace and cylinder is investigated. The application of the boundary integral equation method and the boundary integral element method in the case of the linear equations in phase volumes has been proposed.
