RESEARCH ON RADAR OBSERVABILITY OF ABOVE-WATER OBJECTS IN THE AREAS OF THE WORLD OCEAN
ABSTRACT
The results of experimental researches of radar range in centimetre waveband in the areas of the World Ocean are represented. The dependences of reflected signals upon range in over horizon at different conditions of radio wave propagation are investigated. The range dependence of the radio wave attenuation factor V(r) on the direct signal is determined simultaneously with radar observability. The calculation of ship scattering cross-section and its dependence upon over-the-horizon range is represented.
