ABSTRACT
The main regularities of phytoplankton dynamics in a small reservoir, on the example of the Denishi Reservoir (the Teterev River), are given in the paper. Results of long-term studies of phytoplankton taxonomic composition, intensity of its development, and processes of production and decomposition are presented. The ecological state of the reservoir was assessed in terms of indicator algal species.
KEY WORDS: phytoplankton, taxonomic composition, numbers, biomass,
