ABSTRACT
A total of nine species of Halacaridae belonging to seven genera was found in the coastal zone of Odessa Bay as a result of investigations carried out in May-December 1995-1997. They were found to be associated with particular types of substratum. In the 1990s as compared to the 1970s, the number species of Halacaridae decreased from 17 to 9. The results obtained suggest that recreation load on the marine ecosystem is rather intensive.
