Influence of Geometry on Self-Diffusion of Liquid Molecules in Porous Media in Long Time Regime
ABSTRACT
Based on the most general concepts of the translation mobility and geometry of a porous medium, an expression for the self-diffusion coefficient of liquid molecules in such a medium in a long time regime is derived. Limit cases when the porous size is much larger than the characteristic geometrical quantities of a liquid molecule are considered. The possibility of pass to small size of the pore is shown. The effective diffusion coefficient dependent on geometry of porous media is obtained.
