Experimental Investigation of Heat Transfer Capability of Falling Film Evaporation in the Vertical Tube with Spring Inserts
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the heat transfer capability of falling film evaporation in the vertical tube with spring inserts. In this report, the influences of temperature, Reynolds number, and spring parameters were considered. According to this experiment, the proper parameters of the spring were given and the theoretical analysis of heat enhance was performed. Moreover, based on the JC Chen double mechanisms superposition model, the formula of heat transfer coefficient was obtained. The predicted heat transfer coefficient through the formula agrees with the experimental result well, and the error between them was basically less than 10%.
