ABSTRACT

A new species of dinophytes, Peridiniopsis rhomboides Krachmalny sp. nov., was found in various freshwater reservoirs of Ukraine in June 1994, September 1997, and May 1999. Morphological features of the new species, and its differences from similar taxa are discussed.
