ABSTRACT

Basically the numerical simulation consists of modeling, transformation, computation and understanding the resulting data. These four processes should be reinforced by such three feedback as validation of the mathematical models and verification of both the difference-schemes and the computer programs. Technically the quality of the numerical solution or the simulation cost depends highly on a decrease in degree of the four errors of modeling, measurement, truncation and round off.
The fully-experienced engineer and/or beginner shall hesitate to conduct the computation of the given heat and mass transfer problem until the numerical difficulties are removed from the simulation procedures. Introduction of a expert system may be a solution for the complicated flow problems of the design-base.
This paper will demonstrate that the present consultative expert system for a advanced cfd code, α-FLOW, is examined and found feasible after careful implementations.
