ABSTRACT

The paper presents the results of experimental studies on non-stationary processes in the duct with a porous medium washed by the vapor-liquid flow at disturbances by injection of steam and non-condensing gases from an external source. Considered are specific features of the pressure wave propagation in a porous medium relative to dynamic processes in a circular tube without filling. The wave is initiated by the steam (gas) injection. The experimental values of pressure wave speed in the duct with a ball filling correspond to the calculated Landau sound speed values for the vapor-liquid medium. This result has been obtained for the first time.
