ABSTRACT
In this study, we use Large-eddy simulation (LES) with the scale-dependent dynamic model for subgrid-scale SGS stresses and SGS scalar fluxes to simulate particle-laden flows. Equations for the large resolved scales are derived by spatially filtering the Navier-Stokes and conservation equation for concentration in which the settling process is taken into account. Predicted concentration profiles for sediments are compared with experimental data.
