A Method of Recursive Generation of Orthogonal Transformations of Signals and Images
SINOPSIS
A new method of constructions of matrices of orthogonal transformation is presented. The method is based on a special transposition of components of the first column-vector of the generated matrix, and on certain choice of sign for forming components of all remaining column-vectors of this matrix. The algorithm corresponding to this method allows a recursive representation convenient for software implementation. We present an example of generation of orthogonal transformation matrices, where initial column-vectors are determined by known functions of a discrete argument, systems of orthonormalized functions of a continuous argument with selection of known generating functions, and also orthonormalized masks corresponding to base two-dimensional images.
