SINOPSIS

Simple computational procedures of approximate calculation of two-dimensional models of cellular communication networks based on a scheme of communication channel reservation with feasible arrangement of infinite queue of patient or impatient handover calls are proposed. New calls are handled by a scheme with explicit loss. Unlike the classical models of the above communication networks, here new and handover calls are assumed to be not identical in time of occupying radio channels. The results of numerical experiments show that the formulae suggested have high accuracy for micro and picocells in which the intensity of handover calls essentially exceeds intensity of new calls.
