SELECTION OF THE MODEL FOR VARYING SPEED OF SOUND FOR THE OPTIMAL LINEAR FILTER OF ATMOSPHERE RADIO ACOUSTIC SOUNDING SYSTEMS
RÉSUMÉ
The optimal linear filtering application to the atmospheric radio acoustic sounding (RAS) systems designed to study the process of sound speed variation in the atmosphere as a function of height is considered. The linear filter feature of the RAS systems is the need to use different sound speed variation models depending on the atmospheric conditions. The examples of the sound speed variation models, which can he used for filtering of the RAS systems measurements results, are discussed. The results of sound speed profile filtering using various models of the estimated parameter change are presented. The purpose of the paper is to show that the optimal linear filtering algorithm use will improve the quality of the information obtained through the radio acoustic systems.
