The Impact Factor measures the average number of citations received in a particular year by papers published in the journal during the two preceding years. 2017 Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics, 2018) IF: 0.2 To calculate the five year Impact Factor, citations are counted in 2017 to the previous five years and divided by the source items published in the previous five years. 2017 Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics, 2018) 5-Year IF: 0.3 The Eigenfactor score, developed by Jevin West and Carl Bergstrom at the University of Washington, is a rating of the total importance of a scientific journal. Journals are rated according to the number of incoming citations, with citations from highly ranked journals weighted to make a larger contribution to the eigenfactor than those from poorly ranked journals. Eigenfactor: 0.00004 The Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) is a single measurement of the field-normalized citation impact of journals in the Web of Science Core Collection across disciplines. The key words here are that the metric is normalized and cross-disciplinary. JCI: 0.08 SJR: 0.153 SNIP: 0.178 CiteScore™:: 1 H-Index: 12

RÉSUMÉ

Particulate fillers play a major role in determining the properties and behavior of composites. In the present study, a series of glass fiber-reinforced polyester composites are fabricated using granite powder and fly ash particles as filler material. The effects of these fillers on the mechanical properties of glass-polyester composites are investigated. Comparative analysis shows that the tensile strength of both filled groups (fly ash and granite) is less as compared to the unfilled glass-polyester composite. It is noticed that the tensile modulus of fly ash-filled composites is increasing from 5.7 to 5.92 GPa while in granite-filled composites it is decreasing from 5.12 to 3.49 GPa. The microhardness, density, and impact strength are also affected by the type and content of these fillers. It is found that a composite with 10 wt.% fly ash shows a maximum hardness of 44 Hv among all the composites and has the least void content of 6.45% as compared to granite-filled composites. This study reveals that reduction in the tensile, flexural, and interlaminar shear strength is minimum in a 10 wt.% fly ash-filled composite as compare to granite-filled composites.
