RÉSUMÉ
Literature data concerning mechanisms of income and chemical transformation of antibacterial preparation triclosan in aquatic ecosystems and its impact on the vital functions of aquatic organisms have been summarized. Possible long-term effects of the toxicant in the fishery water bodies in view of its potential threats to fishes are stated. A series of issues demanding further investigation is pointed.
