RÉSUMÉ
It is shown that numbers of benthic bacteria (BB) can be determined with a higher accuracy due to the method described. The procedure proposed by the authors consisted in the preceding inhibiting the ground consumers of BB with subsequent repeated catch and removal of microorganisms from the partitioned ground specimens. A more appropriative microscopic dye was also chosen, and the mathematical model interpreting the changes in quantities of the 'caught' BB was applied. Other methods employed in similar studies allow detecting only about 50% of the total number of BB.
