Mitocorrectin Stimulates Angiogenesis in vitro

RÉSUMÉ

The effect of mitocorrectin (complex of native oligopeptides isolated from the brain of newborn pigs) on the endothelial cells in culture was studied. The preparation has been revealed to induce angiogenesis in vitro in a concentration-dependent manner. Based on the results of MTT assay and a standard cell counting in Goryaev chamber, mitogenic effect of mitocorrectin was shown at concentration of 0.1 − 1 mg / ml, which involves an increasey in the number of cells by 25% ± 5%, as well as increased subpopulations of proliferative cell pool (G2 / M + S) 1.8-fold after mitocorrectin dilutions from 0.01 to 0.05 mg / ml, relative to the control value. In 3D-cultured cells and in the stationary growth, effects were fixed which indicate mitocorrectin-induced differentiation of the endothelial cells: reduced NO production, increased metabolism of glucose, and the formation of capillary-like structures.
