INERTIAL TECHNOLOGY OF WIND TUNNEL SPIN TESTS
要約
An inertial spin tests technique that has been used in the TsAGI vertical wind tunnel T-105 since 2010 is presented. According to this technique a free-flying model is equipped with a small-sized inertial system connected to a remote computer via a digital wireless interface. The onboard system also carries out the model flight control. The inertial data acquisition, motion parameter calculations, and flight control are carried out in real time. This significantly reduces the experimental time and raises the spin investigations to a much higher level. Detailed analysis of the model behavior with respect to the control surface deflections and the development and validation of control strategies are possible using this technique. The modern spin test equipment is given in the paper. The calculation peculiarities of the model motion parameters are described. The spin test results evaluating the experimental quality are given.
