SELECTION OF THE RATIONAL POSITION OF A SLOTTED NOZZLE ON THE AIRFOIL WITH A SYSTEM OF TANGENTIAL JET BLOWING FOR SHOCK-INDUCED SEPARATION SUPPRESSION
要約
The presented materials are the results of calculation investigations to determine the rational position of a slotted nozzle for tangential jet blowing on the upper surface of supercritical airfoil in order to suppress the shock-induced separation at higher subsonic speeds. The calculations are performed for an airfoil with a 12% maximum relative thickness using a two-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier−Stokes solver with a κ − ω shear stress transport turbulence model at Mach number M∞ = 0.78 and Reynolds number Re∞ = 40.3 × 106 in the angle-of-attack range α = −1° to +4°. The jet was blown through the slotted nozzle (SN) with relative height equal to hSN = hSN/b = 0.001 and its location at the following distances from the leading edge: XSN = XSN/b = 0.625, 0.65, and 0.7, for two values of jet momentum coefficient Cμ = 0.005 and 0.01.
