EFFECTS OF AIDING BUOYANCY AND CHANNEL CONFINEMENT ON THE FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER OF DILATANT FLUIDS FROM A SQUARE OBSTACLE
要約
Aiding buoyancy flow and heat transfer phenomena of the dilatant (shear-thickening) fluids are examined for a square obstacle fixed in a vertical channel of confinement (β) = 25–50%. The computer simulations are performed at various Reynolds number (Re = 1–40), Prandtl number (Pr = 1–50), Richardson number (Ri = 0–2) and power-law index (n = 1–1.8). The output parameters and the illustrative isotherm and streamline patterns are obtained to clarify the function of various input parameters in the current framework. The maximum growth in heat transfer is ∼ 993% for Pr = 50 (at Re = 1, n = 1, Ri = 2, β = 50%) with the corresponding values at Pr = 1 (Re = 1, n = 1, Ri = 2, β = 50%). Total drag coefficient and the Colburn heat transfer factor correlations have been achieved, in the end.
