DYNAMICS OF THE IONOSPHERIC PLASMA ABOVE KHARKIV DURING THE JANUARY 4, 2011 SOLAR ECLIPSE

Results are presented concerning incoherent scattering radar observations of the dynamic processes occurred at altitudes close to the F-region maximum and in the topside ionosphere due to the partial (the maximum phase about 0.78) solar eclipse on January 4, 2011 near Kharkiv. It is showed that the eclipse has caused ionosphere restructuring processes which are similar to a short-term nightfall. The observations have been carried out under low solar activity conditions.
