要約

The present paper assesses the performance of the recently proposed four equations ζ−f model (Hanjalic et al. [1]). Presently, this eddy-viscosity model is used as the default turbulence model in the commercial CFD code AVL FIRE (AVL [2]) due to its robustness and accuracy of the results. The full Reynolds-stress model, also based on the elliptic relaxation approach, is used here as a complementary model aiming to verify the limits of the ζ−f model. The employment of the non-linear ζ−f model attempts to close the gap between these models. All models are applied in conjunction with the universal wall treatment which combines the integration up to the wall with wall functions. The results are shown for various examples.
