Experimental results of a small enclosure fire with a crib fuel source has been compared with numerical results obtained with the CFD code Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). Two different configurations were examined providing an over-ventilated yet complex fire environment. Radiation corrected thermocouple results are compared with temperatures predicted by FDS with good results for maximum temperature and time to peak temperature. Temperature profiles are also examined and FDS is found to under-predict some temperatures in upper regions away from the heat source, although reasonable comparisons can be made close to the fire.
