RESUMO
This article examines efforts taken to increase the number of minority engineers, concluding that we know what is likely to work, both for minorities and for students in general, and the time has come for action. Closer integration of minority student development with general curricular restructuring is suggested. Recommendations for implementation of this strategy by academe and government are given.
