Energy and Polarization Characteristics of Radiation from the Open End of a Circular Waveguide Excited Simultaneously by E01 and H01 Waves
RESUMO
Based on the rigorous method suggested by L.A.Weinstein, calculation have been made of energy and polarization directivity characteristics of a radiator acting as an open end of the circular waveguide excited simultaneously by the symmetrical E01 and H01 waves. It is shown that the ellipticity coefficient with a level above 0.7 within the major power pattern (PP) lobe exceeds −10 dB. The results from calculating the radiation directionality characteristics with the approximate Kirchhoff method are presented.
