RESONANT FREQUENCY THERMOSTABILISATION OF MICROSTRIP RADIATORS
RESUMO
This paper presents the findings of theoretical and experimental studies into the thermostabilisation capabilities of microstrip antenna resonant frequency using two-layer dielectric substrates with opposite-in-sign and close-in-magnitude temperature coefficients of permittivity variations. Optimal relationships between the layer thickness in a composite two-layer substrate are determined. It is shown that the resonant frequency deviation in the experimental temperature-compensated radiator is not best, equal to 0.1%, with the temperature range varying between −50° and +80° C.
