RESUMO

The peculiarities of the formation of radionuclide contamination in the above the ground and underground phytomass of Phragmites australis, Typha angustifolia, and Glyceria maxima were investigated. It has been found that in the underground organs of the studied plants ¹³⁷Cs specific content was 9−15 times higher than that in their above the ground organs. In this case, 74−87% of the total content of ¹³⁷Cs was registered in plant roots.
