NON-DARCY MIXED CONVECTION HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER FLOW OF DOUBLY STRATIFIED COUPLE STRESS FLUID
RESUMO
An analysis is presented to investigate the double stratification effects on the mixed convection heat and mass transfer along a semi-infinite vertical plate embedded in a non-Darcy porous medium saturated with couple stress fluid. The nonlinear governing equations and their associated boundary conditions are initially cast into dimensionless form by pseudo-similarity variables. The resulting system of equations is then solved numerically using the Keller-box method. The numerical results are compared and found to be in good agreement with previously published results as special cases of the present investigation. Profiles of dimensionless velocity, temperature, and concentration are shown graphically for different parameters entering into the analysis. Also, the effects of the pertinent parameters on the rates of heat and mass transfer rates are tabulated. An analysis of the results obtained shows that the flow field is influenced appreciably by emerging parameters of the present study.
