AN ALGORITHM FOR INVERSE DETERMINATION OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

RESUMO
An experimental setup, along with an algorithm, is proposed for determining thermal conductivity, which is assumed to be a polynomial function of temperature. Knowledge of total heat inputs and steady-state temperature measurements is required. The numerical method used is based on the boundary element method of solving the linearized heat equation. The numerical tests of the proposed algorithm are shown to give satisfactory results.
