APPLICATION OF ELEMENTS OF NETWORK CALCULUS THEORY AT EVALUATION OF QOS PARAMETERS IN SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORKS

A new approach to the software-defined networks modeling is proposed. A feature of this approach is a possibility of modeling and analysis of boundary service quality indicators that are dependent on temporal characteristics. A model of a network fragment, in case of operation of one device with a support of the Open Flow Protocol, and a model, combining several devices, representing interaction of the "switch-controller-switch" type, are proposed. The calculation of the values of such network characteristics of the Open Flow switches (agents) as a backlog and a buffer size is given; the equation, making it possible to estimate the "end-to-end" backlog value, is formulated based on partial obtained results.
