DEPENDENCE BETWEEN THE SIGNAL DELAY AND RETRANSMITTER PARAMETERS
Краткое описание
The signal delay dependences are defined for the case when the reflector and antenna sizes excessively exceed the wavelength. The arguments in the dependences are the deviations of the amplitude and phase characteristics of the retransmitter unit from the reverse radiation conditions, while one side component of the spectrum is completely suppressed. The Fresnel-Kirchhoff scalar field equation and a model of the retransmitter meter have served as the basis of the numerical estimation of the dependences. It has been proven that the measurement error can be essentially reduced by manipulating the phase shift at the repeater input. It has been revealed that the linear nature of the phase-to-distance relation got distorted when the plane reflector is approached to the near-field boundary.
