Краткое описание
The content of heavy metals was studied in the soft tissues of Bivalvia and Gastropoda occurring in water bodies and watercourses of Gomel and adjacent territories. Valid relationship was established between their content in soft tissues and in abiotic components. It has been found that this relationship depends on the peculiarities of a species, and also on the chemical nature of the metal. It has been shown that mainly the shells of Gastropoda and Bivalvia, as well as the soft tissues of Limnaea stagnalis L., Viviparus viviparus L., and Unio pictorum L., should be used in monitoring the total contamination of aquatic ecosystems by heavy metals.
