Краткое описание
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection is now considered to be a chronic treatable illness. Many patients with HIV infection develop various functional and psychological impairments. Rehabilitation professionals will increasingly play a major role in the care of these patients in order to improve their quality of life and to assist them in returning to the community. It is important to be familiar with some of the most common illnesses and disabilities associated with HIV infection. This article discusses these issues.
