Краткое описание

For the first time, the data of the study in a scanning electron microscope (SEM) of the Nanofrustulum shiloi diatom found in the periphyton of polymer materials exposed in the Karantinnaya Bay (Crimea, Black Sea) are presented. The species belongs to rare and small-size benthic algae, which are poorly studied in the seas and usually, insufficiently registered in light microscopes, and therefore are not fully taken into account in descriptions of the benthic communities. We have presented the electronic micrographs of this species and analyzed the information about its systematic position, morphometric, ecological, its practical significance, as well as phytogeographical characteristics, which allowed us to develop the World Map of its geographical distribution. This species is marine, benthoplanktonic, colonial, araphid, boreal-tropical and notal.
