Краткое описание

Steam injection at the upstream of the combustion chamber is an effective way to boost power, increase thermal efficiency and limit NOx emissions in gas turbine systems. This modification also enables the user to burn less fuel without any loss from the turbine power output. Additionally, to generate superheated steam, a heat recovery steam generator is essential which utilize the waste heat from the gas turbine exhaust. This work introduces the potential requirements of steam generation in steam injected gas turbine systems and puts forward a practical HRSG design for steam injected gas turbines which can be used for thermo-economic evaluation of steam injected gas turbine cycles.
